Description

This e-book contains 22 articles by Roberto Assagioli, 12 of which have never been published before in the English language, so there are exciting new insights into the questions of suffering and how to make the most of it.

These articles take us through the journey of personal and spiritual development, the stages of unfoldment, and the crises and conflicts we must face to be authentic human beings. We all suffer; this is an integral part of being human, and not all suffering is caused by other people or circumstances.

One of the main achievements of psychosynthesis is the mapping of various forces and energies within us on many levels through Assagioli’s famous “egg diagram” – from the instincts of the lower unconscious to the superconscious’s spiritual powers. These energies collide and create conflicts and crises in our life. However, when we better understand them and have found our inner observing center – the self as a loving observer and director of our life, then we are on the path to becoming the masters of our own lives with the ability to create a harmonious synthesis out of our inner conflicts.

The message of this book is that there is a unique life path to greater personal and spiritual unfoldment and that suffering and joy are endemic to the evolution of consciousness – the pain of growth and the joy of expanding our capabilities and ability to be who we are in the innermost sense of our being.
