This article, which has been adapted from my book Integral Meditation, offers a brief exploration of how the seven energies or rays correspond to Assagioli’s egg-diagram. The topic deserves in-depth study, but I hope this brief offering will stir your imagination and curiosity.

references to typology. Very
often, Assagioli referred only
in passing to the significance of
typology, without elaborating
on how to apply the theory
of types.

An overview of the Seven Types

Both psychosynthesis and the theory of the Seven Types are based
on the philosophy of essentialism. This becomes clear when we
investigate the grand narrative that underpins Assagioli’s conception
of psychosynthesis.
